[DIY] Handmade Father’s Day Card

Father’s Day is just around the corner – do you have a card ready? 

A simple DIY for a handmade card:

WHAT YOU NEED

– Blank Card (I got mine at Michaels or use cardstock)
– Pencil
– Colored Pencils
– Sharpie (thin point is best)
– Postage stamp at local post office (Google Maps it if you have no idea – nobody will know)
– Chocolate for a little fuel

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • PICK a design (list below)
  • STENCIL it with pencil first
  • DRAW over it with your Sharpie, let dry
  • ERASE your pencil drawing
  • COLOR in your drawing
  • HIGHLIGHT your main words
  • WRITE a message inside
  • MAIL it out today so it arrives on time

CARD DESIGN IDEAS

– Wishing you a fan{tache}tic Father’s Day – draw a mustache

– You did a grape job raisin us – draw a raisin (dad) and one grape per child (coordinate with your siblings in case they didn’t send a card this year) – just like the one I showed in the Mother’s Day card tutorial

– You are the best Dad by par – draw some grass, a golf tee and golf ball

– Dad, You are reel-y awesome – draw a fishing line with a few fish swimmin’ around
